The Tropical & Travellers Medical Clinic specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and illnesses that affect the traveller. The commonest conditions seen are skin rashes and burns, red eyes, diarrhoeal illnesses, fevers including dengue, respiratory infections, women’s health issues, and sexual diseases.

Patients must be ‘walk in / walk out’ and come during clinic working hours. However, patients confined to their hotel room may request a hotel visit during clinic hours, or out of hours by mutual agreement with the doctor.

(As a specialized clinic for illness consultations, we regret that we do not have facilities to handle emergency trauma cases or serious cases requiring hospital admission; such cases are referred to those clinics and hospitals that advertise 24 hour emergency services)

Fees charged

Fees are comparable with other international standard clinics and reflect the experience and qualifications of the doctor. Payment is in US dollars and must be in cash. Patients with credit cards can easily withdraw cash from the many banks along nearby Street 110 prior to the clinic visit. Following the philosophy of the UK National Health Service, Dr Scott has an ethical policy that puts the patient’s welfare above monetary considerations; this translates into honest unbiased advice, no unnecessary expensive blood tests or treatments, and no excessive overcharging.
